Can't detect ZIP USB 250 on Windows NT4

Hello everybody,

IOMEGA Zip USB 250 doesn't work sure on NT4 !!!!

That's works fine on
COMPAQ DESKPRO P600
COMPAQ DESKPRO C466
DELL LATITUDE C600
.......

but it's not possible to detect Zip USB Drive on
COMPAQ EVO D5S
COMPAQ HP D530

I applied latest IOWARE NT driver but it's the same problem. No
detection of the ZIP drive.

Maybe a problem with latest BIOS of Compaq or another reasons....

I called IOMEGA Hotline but no solution......

Can you help me ?
Have you the same experience ?

It has nothing to do with your hardware...


As far as I know it is because windows NT4 does not support USB devices -
any OS from 95 OSR2 up to XP should do it.
When I ran NT4 I had a SCSI zip 250, which is still running fine on XP.
