With Win 98se I used an Iomega Parallel Port Zip 100 drive to store
stuff on. Will Vista support this?? I need to use it long enough to
transfer contents to a CD.

TIA

IF the Win98SE machine is still available, offload the contents to the
hard drive and make the copy from that machine. Why wait to install
Vista first?

Iomega says parallel port Zip drives are +not+ supported by Vista:

Good luck to you. Of course, I would have never stored anything permanently
or for long periods on a Zip 100 disk and I always have had a CD-R(W) in a
Win98 machine.

Iomega has a YSB 100 zip drive on their web site that will read the
older 100 disks and work under Win 98 also so maybe I will get one.
It will be worth it to be able to retrieve all the stuff I have on the
old 100 disks.

Thank you for contacting the Iomega Online Store.

Parallel Port zip drives are the only zip drives that are not
compatible with Windows Vista. The ones that we have on our website
are USB powered and will work and will also read the older disks.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need further assistance.
Once again, thank you for contacting the Iomega Online Store.
