I can't get my Iomega 100 parallel zip drive to work with XP

Please has anyone experienced this problem?
No matter what I do, after installing the iomega driver for my zip drive,
the device manager shows:
"This device cannot start. (Code 10)"
With yellow exclamation mark shown against IMG VP0 below the disk drives.
I've followed the troubleshooting notes; communicated by email extensively
with the Iomega help desk (helpful people - but can't find a fix)

I've checked bios settings, checked that legacy plug & play is available.
Downloaded lates drivers.

The drive works on my wifes PC running XP with no problem.

I've spent hours and hours trying to fix this problem trying all kinds of
installation permutations. I'm sure you've all tried this from time to time.
Install the driver with and without the device present. Uninstall the driver
and hardware etc.

Any ideas would be welcomed

TIA

Philip

It's OK everyone you can stop responding now - I've fixed it with a new
mother board.
Thank you all for the overwhelming response.
Fantastic
