Hi All! thanking anyone for a reply Zip 100meg Para Windows XP Pro.

IT installed new computers Windows Xp Pro. The computer recognises the drive
but hangs up the computer when you try to access it. The only way to get the
computer to work is to close down the action in task manage and pull the
power on the zip drive.

IT said zip drives are old technology.

I still want to use them, is there a work around.

Lots of people use zip 100s on XP Pro. Sounds like they
messed up something and won't admit it or troubleshoot it
cuz they are lazy high paid people.

I am not sure what Para means, but I will assume it means parallel
port and go to this webpage and choose which zip 100 you are dealing
with and go to the installation sections....

Is this an external or internal drive ?

If it is having power issues, perhaps the computer it is in is having
power supply problems or does not have a big enough power supply ?
