Anyone know of a way to recover these unreadable Zip 250 cartridges? When
put in the drive they can be long formatted successfully, but that's all.
I've finally got Spinrite to run after tracking down some DOS USB drivers,
but while Spinrite is running the activity light on the Zip drive doesn't
blink, as if it's not really reading the disk. Spinrite finishes without
finding any data or errors. Other recovery programs act similar.

Please respond to the newgroup only, this email account is not checked.

I'm not sure what you are asking. If you successfully long formatted
the disks then there is no data on them. SpinRite should have
reported a gross error if it could not access the requested drive.

Have you tried the drive on another system to confirm if it's
functioning or not?
