Hi, I'm resuming 10 tape of a Ditto Max Professional, but all the tape give
this problem:

"The data on this tape is not written in a compatible format, or the tape is
not formatted. Do you want to format the tape now?"

What means this? What I wrong?

Thanks,
Roberto.

If this is only happening with one tape the message means pretty
much what is says: the drive can no longer read the tape header.
Considering the age of the tape drive this is not surprising. If the
problem is with *all* the tapes try cleaning the tape head,
retension the tapes and see if it clears the problem.

This problem is with all the tapes (7 tapes), how can I clean the tape head?

Thanks,
Roberto.

Check this to see if there is a software problem:

http://www.iomega.com/support/documents/3115.html

The Ditto manual with cleaning information is available here:

http://download.iomega.com/english/manuals/english/333401.pdf

Iomega only reccomends using a DittoMax cleaning cartridge for the
drive.
