Are you a related to Baird, or are just a friend of his?
It takes at least a year to eliminate 20-30 chargeoffs. There's no way it
will be completely clean in seven months. It takes 6 months just to get the
accounts into collections, which is where you put the hammer down.

depends on numerous factors, though arguably yes 6 months is somewhat
optimistic

In order to write off the debt, creditors must try to collect "in house" for
180 days. It is very unlikely the original creditor will not be able to live
up to his legal obligations. Once in collections it is highly unlikely that
the collection agent will not violate the law. If you can't wait till the
Devil gets it, then ask the original creditor to validate the debt first
(ask for original signed contract, receipts, account number that they
debited from to pay the merchants, etc.), then begin disputing the debt with
the credit reporting agencies as soon as you get the OC's return receipt in
the mail. For every account they verify while the account (tradeline) is in
dispute, that's a violation and the OC or the CRA become liable for $1000
per occurrence, depending on which one verified. Often all it takes is one
violation to get your tradeline removed by the CRA, or "set off," as in the
case of the original creditor.

In the US perhaps, but then whilst Americans generally believe that they are
in fact the world in general, they are in fact a rather insignificant part
of the globe.

And you're being given advice by an American who doesn't understand
American law very well.
