Is there an url to download a checker for the 100 zip drv {not TIP} but one
that was put out by Iomega a few years ago

Not sure what you're referring to. Past Iomega software included a
"diagnostic" check in Iomegaware and about all it did was verify the
driver could locate a drive and communicate with it. It didn't check
disks at all. The only other thing they provided was a "format life" and
"disk life" check of the status of the disk to basically see how many
bad sectors you already had and how many spare sectors are left to
replace bad sectors. With Iomega software about the only disk check you
could do was see if a disk could pass a long format. But again, none of
it, except for passing a long fomat, actually tested the media surface.
Of course the down side to a long format is wiping the contents of the
disk.
